Good Faith Estimate

Your Right to Receive an Estimate of Expected Costs

Under the federal No Surprises Act, healthcare providers are required to provide uninsured or self-pay individuals with a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of care when applicable.

If you do not have health insurance, or if you choose not to use your health insurance to pay for services, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of your care.

What This Means for Therapy

The length and frequency of therapy are different for every person.

Some clients attend therapy weekly for a period of time. Others attend every other week, monthly, or schedule sessions as needed.

Because your needs, goals, progress, and preferences may change throughout therapy, it isn't always possible to predict exactly how many sessions you will choose to attend.

Your Good Faith Estimate is therefore an estimate—not a requirement to attend a particular number of sessions.

Current Therapy Fee

Individual or couples therapy session:$98

For illustration, at the current $98 session fee:

12 sessions$1,176
25 sessions$2,450
50 sessions$4,900

These examples are provided only to illustrate how the total cost of therapy can vary depending on the number of sessions you choose to attend.

Your actual frequency and duration of treatment will depend on your individual needs, clinical recommendations, availability, and preferences.

You are not required to attend a predetermined number of sessions.

Your Rights

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate in writing for the expected cost of services when applicable.

You may also ask Ryan Hayes Therapy for a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling services.

If you receive a bill from a provider that is at least $400 more than that provider's Good Faith Estimate, you may be eligible to dispute the bill through the federal patient-provider dispute resolution process.
